Sean Horton is the recipient of the second annual CNS Loren Martin Hintz Travel Writing Scholarship. Horton was awarded $1,000 for his 800-word essay responding to the 2024 theme: “If you could travel to one place you’ve never been, where would it be and why?”

The Hintz Scholarship was created to honor Martin “Marty” Hintz, who passed away in 2020. Hintz was a writer, reporter, and publisher who dedicated his life to travel. Steve Hintz, Martin’s son, approached the Carvd N Stone brand in 2021 to host the scholarship.
